The Resolution Process
1
The event occurs or the event date passes
Once the real-world event the market is tracking has taken place — or the market’s close date has passed — the market becomes eligible for resolution. Trading is already paused at this point (the market status is Closed).
2
Administrator reviews the outcome
A Jua Predictions administrator examines the real-world outcome and compares it against the market’s resolution criteria. The criteria defined when the market was created serve as the authoritative guide for this decision.
3
Administrator resolves the market YES or NO
The administrator officially records the outcome in the platform. Every resolved market has a single, binary outcome: YES or NO. There is no partial resolution.
4
Platform automatically calculates payouts
Immediately after resolution, the platform identifies every account holding winning shares and calculates the payout owed to each.
5
Winning shares are credited at 1 USDC each
Each winning share pays out 1 USDC. Losing shares pay out 0 USDC. Payouts are credited directly and automatically to each winner’s cash balance — no manual claim is required.
6
Market permanently closes
The market moves to Resolved status and is permanently closed. No further trading, order placement, or cancellation is possible on a resolved market.
Payout Calculation
Payouts on Jua Predictions are straightforward by design:- Every winning share (a YES share if the market resolves YES, or a NO share if the market resolves NO) pays out exactly 1 USDC.
- Every losing share pays out 0 USDC.
- Your total payout is simply: number of winning shares × 1 USDC.
Where to See Your Payouts
You don’t need to actively check for or request your payout — it lands in your account the moment the market is resolved.- Portfolio page — your updated cash balance and a breakdown of your positions appear here as soon as payouts are processed.
- Transaction history — each payout is recorded as a distinct line item in your transaction history, showing the market name, outcome, number of shares, and total amount received.
- Notifications — you’ll receive both an in-app notification and an email confirming the resolution outcome and the payout amount credited to your account.
Voided Markets
Occasionally a market may be cancelled or voided before resolution — for example, if the underlying event is postponed indefinitely or if the market is found to have been created in violation of platform guidelines. When a market is voided:- Your original stake (the USDC you spent purchasing shares) is returned to your cash balance.
- Any trading fees already paid are not refunded — only the principal stake is returned.
- You’ll be notified via in-app notification and email when a market you hold a position in is voided.
Resolution is final. Jua Predictions administrators have sole authority over market resolution decisions. All resolutions are made based on the resolution criteria established when the market was created.

Can I still cancel a limit order after a market closes?
Can I still cancel a limit order after a market closes?
Yes. If you have open limit orders that were not filled before the market closed, you can cancel them while the market is in Closed status (awaiting resolution). Once the market is resolved and moves to Resolved status, no further order actions — including cancellations — are possible.
