# Understanding Your Jua Predictions Balance Types

> Learn about the five balance types in Jua Predictions: cash, promo, locked, tradable, and withdrawable — and how each one works.

Your Jua Predictions account tracks your funds across five distinct balance types, each with its own rules for trading, fees, and withdrawals. Understanding what each balance represents helps you make the most of your account — whether you're placing trades, using promotional credits, or moving funds in and out.

## What You Can Do With Each Balance

The table below summarises the actions available for each balance type at a glance.

| Balance Type     | Trade                            | Pay Fees | Withdraw      |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------- | -------- | ------------- |
| **Cash**         | ✓                                | ✓        | ✓             |

<Tip>
  Promo balance is a great way to explore markets and build your trading strategy without spending your own funds — just keep in mind that promo credits cannot be cashed out directly.

## Locked Funds

When you place a limit order, the funds required to fill that order are moved into your locked balance. This prevents those funds from being double-spent while your order sits on the order book.

Your locked funds are released in two situations:

* **The order fills** — your locked funds are used to complete the trade.
* **You cancel the order** — the locked amount is returned to your cash or promo balance immediately.

If you need to free up locked funds — for example, to place a different trade or to make a withdrawal — navigate to your open orders in your portfolio and cancel the relevant limit order. The funds will be released right away.

  Your portfolio page shows a full breakdown of all five balance types so you can always see exactly where your funds are at any given moment.
